- 4 cups fresh strawberries (or frozen, thawed)
- 1 can (21 oz) strawberry pie filling
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 box (15–16 oz) yellow or white cake mix
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spread strawberries along the bottom, then pour strawberry pie filling over them.
- Beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Dollop over the fruit.
- Sprinkle the cake mix evenly across the top.
- Drizzle melted butter uniformly over the cake mix.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes or until the topping is golden brown. Let cool briefly before serving.
Notes
Some people love an extra layer of texture. Feel free to sprinkle crushed graham crackers or chopped nuts over the melted butter before baking. It heightens the “cheesecake” aspect of your strawberry cheesecake dump cake.
